🎯 Products and Writers

Tools and creators I actually use and love

Building in public means sharing what actually works. This is my curated collection of products I personally use, newsletters I read religiously, and builders who inspire me daily.

📑 Table of Contents

🚀 My Collection of Launched Products (try them free!)

The tools I built because I needed them myself — now other builders are using them too.

  • Vibe Coding Builders
A curated directory for builders of any background. Show off projects, get feedback, and celebrate launches together. Because building in isolation is hard — building with a community that ships? That’s the magic.

  • Quick Viral Notes
Automatically turns long-form posts into dozens of social-ready notes. This boosted my subs from under 100 → 300+ in a week.
    Used by 500+ Substackers

  • Substack Explorer
Analytics I wish existed when I started. Competitor analysis, growth tracking, niche discovery. Free basic analytics + dev-friendly API.
    Used by 100+ Substackers
    (Substack MCP integration coming soon!)

  • Color Vision Enhancer
Helps bridge differences in color vision. Inspired by research showing 1 in 10 people experience color vision challenges.

  • AI Revolution Life Simulator
AI-guided scenarios to explore pivots and life changes. Forces clarity on what really matters when choosing.

  • Image Finder (currently unsupported)
First experimental AI app. Natural-language file search. Paused for rebuild — but it taught me a ton about building.

🔧 Great Products for Growth on Substack

Real tools from builders I trust — not just SaaS with shiny landing pages.

👉 Substack Pro Studio by

– This is the real deal. Finn analyzed 1.3M+ notes to build Substack's most comprehensive creator toolkit. He's the domain expert who actually understands creator pain points, not just another tech bro with a growth tool. His launch day results speak for themselves.

Other Finn tools worth checking:

👉 WriteStack by

– The Substack Notes scheduler that works beautifully on a website. Orel built this because Substack doesn't let you schedule notes natively, then added AI note generation, analytics dashboard, and inspiration feeds. 650+ creators use it to save hours weekly while growing their audience. He's the relationship-first builder who contacted thousands to collaborate, not sell.

More recs coming soon. I focus on quality over quantity.

🛠 AI Building Tools

I built the same project across five platforms with identical prompts. Here’s how they really behave:

  • ReplitThe Senior Engineer
Diagnoses API failures precisely, handles PostgreSQL + external APIs like a pro. Best for reliable debugging + max control.

  • LovableThe UX-Obsessed PM
Acts like a product consultant. Gorgeous UI + seamless Supabase integration. Overthinks Stripe flows, but great for polished prototypes.

  • BoltThe Quick Prototype Machine
Lightning-fast Next.js prototypes. No env variable support = breaks for external APIs. Good for demos, not production.

  • Base44 - The Analytics Founder

Built-in traffic tracking + zero-friction deployment. Dashboard shows real visitor data from day one. Perfect for MVPs with instant metrics. CORS limitations = breaks with external RSS feeds/APIs.

Other notes:

  • v0: Vercel-friendly but buggy env variable handling

  • Base44: Simple MVPs + analytics, but CORS limits kill data fetching

Key lesson: platforms have personalities. Pick the one that matches how YOU build.
