Thanks for the kind reply. The reason I am curious is because, I keep reading that newsletters could suddenly stop existing as we don't own them, but, blogs hosted by us, remains ours, which is why, I couldn't let go of my blogger blog, where one could earn Adsense monetization which is not possible on newsletters , especially for small, inexperienced bloggers and writers like me.
That is so true. I know nothing about Adsense monetization, if it's big enough, definitely worth keeping. I do provide free-read links on Medium, so that can guide traffic to my Newsletter on Substack, not sure if the strategy is useful to you at all :)
Do you write same posts or different ones on Medium and Substack? Do you have any external dot com blog? I have a blogger blog plus I write casually on Medium, and just started on Substack as well. I convert my own youTube channel's videos to text post . It's challenging but trying hard to do it.
It depends, if the content aligns with my Substack newsletter’s theme, I’ll publish it on both Medium and Substack. I see Medium as a way to reach a broader, unfiltered audience where I can share a variety of topics.
I don’t maintain external blogs because I can already reach a big pool of audience here, and I’d rather focus my efforts in one place than spread myself too thin (though, admittedly, it’s also a good excuse to do less work!).
When it comes to other digital products like courses, I’d definitely consider hosting them elsewhere.
By the way, would you mind sharing your YouTube subscriber count? I’ve always been curious about the tipping point that makes it worthwhile to actively maintain multiple platforms.
