Really like the angles, I've been experimenting with combined MCP tools to figure out what to write about next. I use it to pinpoint ideas in the backlog, past articles and my current thoughts to make AI think with me.
The unpromptable part comes when I end up doing something else because reading AI outputs gave other ideas that feel more engaging to write about, I guess that random creative moment cannot be prompted just yet because I wouldn't even know how to reproduce it😅
Oooohh! I've written something along those lines, about ideation! Yes, you can't prompt random creative moments -- those bursts of inspiration -- but you can structure it into your life. Have an idea-capture system, immerse yourself in awe-inspiring and interesting things, and gather ideas that resonate with you.
It's like hacking your subconscious!
The best way to use AI for ideation is to complement an already powerful, efficiently designed tool for creativity: the human mind.
Sorry I got excited, I wrote about this some time before. I call it System 1 ideation :D
Because I’m very confident in my storytelling skills, having worked as a professional writer for years, I almost never use AI for messaging. But, based on this article, I wonder if I’m missing out. 🤔
I’m going to experiment with the prompt you’ve shared and see where it takes me. 😎 Big thanks to you and James for this helpful resource!
That's an honor, Karen :D I hope they help! But if it ain't broke, yanno. Nothing can replace the deep expertise you undoubtedly have, though AI can complement it very well.

Haha I agree, the random creative moments can’t be prompted yet!
And your use of MCP is so interesting! Would love to learn more about how you did that when you write it out :)
I also have an MCP article coming up this Wednesday and hopefully that’ll speak to your thoughts somewhere :)

Really interesting reflection. I like the framing of becoming unpromptable...
Thank you William! I like it too! It’s such a genius term came up by James!
Thank you both! I think it's an important concept to keep in mind in this age of AI.
Great collab guys! My two favorite accounts considerations behind the use of AI. Solid info as always
Thank you Kyle! You are the best 👊👊
Right back at you 👊🏻
Thank you, Kyle!
